The Memorial Museum Of Generalissimo Sun Yat-Sen's Mansion
During the Law-Protecting Movement (Movement of Protecting Constitution), Sun Yat-sen was elected as the generalissimo of the Military Government of the Republic of China for two times in 1917 and 1923 respectively, and two office buildings of the Guangdong Shiminshi Factory were selected twice as the office of Generalissimo Mansion.
After 1949, the memorial museum was built on the site of the old Generalissimo Mansion. This memorial museum consist(s) of two major buildings, on the north and south respectively, the gate tower and the east/west square, with the exhibition of “One Hundred Years of Generalissimo Mansion” and “Guangzhou City of Republic of China” on show.

With a total area of 8,020 square meters, the museum is comprised of two main Western-style buildings (designed by Australian architect Arthur W. Purnell) in the south and north, a square in the west, and a gate tower. Exhibits include photos and archives about Sun's three regimes established in Guangzhou, along with his biography. Historical and art exhibits are also displayed regularly.
